Washtenaw Commissioners meetings cancelled for Wed 4/20/22
No reason given on the county website

…#eastannarbor and everyone else. We just discovered the county meetings, where we planned to introduce participatory budgeting to the community and to commissioners, have been cancelled.
Was it something we said? Sure hope not 🤘
[UPDATE: Andy LaBarre states “We have a security issue with enough concern that we’ve cancelled the meeting out of prudence. We remain interested in public engagement on these items. Our next meeting is May 4.”]

You can still contact your commissioners by going here for their contact info and using the guide in our Outreach Notebook for April 17, 2022 to help craft your own message.
We are still wondering if anyone has further information about the Memorandum of Understanding [MOU] between the County Board and Sheriff re: “his” surplus budget dollars and who should control those dollars.
